Jeebus, it's cold today!

There's gotta be a little sump'um, sump'um that could warm us up.

That's more like it.

About that last pic... when was the last time you saw so many skinny guys in one place?

We had one kid in my class who was 'the fat kid' and he was quite fit by comparison to today's kids. In retrospect he took a lot of crap for just being stocky. In high school a few more heavy set kids we around, but it was an uncommon exception - kids were overwhelmingly very coltish and thin. Even into young adulthood and college almost all the guys I knew were very thin. Somewhere around the late 80's that started shifting. People were getting heavier. As the years go along the heavy people are getting younger and younger, and younger

Of course we had it easy when it comes to weight control. We were poor. And on top of that we came from farm families so there was always plenty of fresh produce on the table, which we were expected to work at producing. Plus we were severely deprived of any entertainment other than going outside and playing. What seemed a horror at the time is, in retrospect, a blessing and something to be treasured.

Yeah - I'm feelin' chatty lately...

2nd photo-- that man looks huge, he must be 8ft tall, or maybe he is Gulliver?

Yeah even Portland hipsters are fat half the time. Yet they (we?) still squeeze into skinny black jeans and medium-size shirts.

I'm appalled at how big my gut has become.

By the way the guy in pic 3 who is holding a hand towel over his otherwise-available bits is MINE.

Yeah, ain't he a pretty one?

I've never understood fat punk rockers. Seems to me the punk aesthetic requires a certain level of poverty and therefore skinniness.
